- Summary

Easy To Install
donnahallen- Pros
- Easy to understand & download
- Cons
- After loading 25 cd's it started displaying the same cd name and artist for every single cd.
- Summary
- I have unintsalled it until this gets fixed. More or less it just wasted my time
Do not download!!!!!!
jrocker07- Pros
- Simple program, easy to learn, but not praise worthy.
- Cons
- After adding 9 CDs, I edited one cd and from then on every time I loaded CD Asst. it froze my computor. Tried to find out what to do to clear this problem, but there is no assistance available under the "help" section. Sooo, I deleted this program .
- Summary
- <br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on May 10, 2010<p/>good program except there was no way to print all the info i copied, no sense in having a program that won`t print up on paper.
Great and easy program!
monac3- Pros
- This program does everything for you. All you do is put your cd in the drive; and , the program automatically looks up the information for you through the CDDB Wizard. You confirm the information and add it to your system.
- Cons
- Nothing so far.
- Summary
- This is an excellent choice to keep track of a cd inventory!
Could be great, but wasn't as simple as it could be
jojoquacks- Pros
- It is very easy to add discs ( just a few mouse clicks), and the process is very fast. CD info is quite accurate - it found quite a few of my more obscure discs, and usually differentiated between "disc 1" and "disc 2" (etc) of multi-disc albums.
- Cons
- Buttons & tabs were not very intuitive for me; various redundant buttons; newly added discs would not always show up immediately (I had to switch to a different tab/sort to find them). Clicking "help" was useless - the file was too minimal.
- Summary
- This could have been a fantastic, simple freeware program; I've compared it to 3 trial versions of paid software and found it to be simpler and quicker to add discs, as well as providing more accurate CD info & finding quite a few discs not found by the paid programs. Unfortunately, there were a few glitches, and the non-intuitive sort tabs & buttons had me more frustrated than pleased. Based on this freeware, I would be highly unlikely to purchase MusiFind Pro (the "premier," paid product from the same publisher, Author Direct) for $39. A free trial version of it is available, but after using this freeware for about a week I had no interest in trying any other Author Direct products for a while!
Absolute Crap
obrienpc- Pros
- It uninstalls well
- Cons
- First, it could not detect my DVD drive, interesting. I got past that, and it did detect the audio media, but would not display any track information. Then, I was informed that I need to register with CDDB in order to pull the media data, but there is no option to do this. <p>Finally, just to be pissy, I think their website sucks too!

Excellent Program
lglyspkng- Pros
- Easy to use, pretty much fully automated. Made cataloging my CD collection simple
- Cons
- Hasn't been upgraded in awhile. Maybe add artwork
- Summary
Fairly useful but serious shortcomings in data handling
pauljj32- Pros
- Does what it says
- Cons
- Very difficult to extract the data for use in other applications like database or labels. Brings down everything from Gracenote which is held in a *.log file temporarily but then drops half of the data when entered into main *.db file. Clunky for Classical music use.
- Summary
One of the programs I use the most.
Q.- Pros
- I use this all the time. I've installed it on 3 computers since 2002 and I haven't had a problem. It's great keeping track of all your CD's, especially the copied ones and knowing what "track 4" on that CD is called.
- Cons
- I can't get it to print out my records. It occasionally hangs, but usually if you do something odd ... it doesn't hang up anymore than Windows does.
