Implement timer objects from the Common Controls Replacement Project.
CCRP High Performance Timer Objects is an ActiveX library of high-resolution multimedia timer, countdown, and stopwatch objects. It provides developers with a standard 'event' interface, as well as the ability to implement a secondary interface for nonblocking notifications. High Performance Timer Objects supports resolution/frequency of one millisecond on capable hardware and can be used as a replacement for Visual Basic's standard Timer control without requiring that the control be placed on a form. Events may be sunk in either forms or class modules.
