Cache Status for Windows

Keep an eye on your cache status with this effective freeware Firefox add-on. We were impressed by Cache Status' performance during our round of tests.

Cache Status operates through Firefox's status bar. It adds two simple icons, one for RAM cache and the other for disk cache, along with their respective stats. As you browse the Web, you can easily monitor the changes in your caches activity with just a glance. A right-click on the status bar lets you clear one or both of the caches in a matter of seconds. The options menu lets you set the maximum amount of both RAM and disk cache you want to allow, and you can set the program to automatically clear each cache once they reach a user-selected percentage. We set it to automatically clear both the RAM and disk cache at 70 percent, and the program performed without a hitch.

We especially liked this programs visibility, making it easy for us to monitor our cache without lifting a finger. This free add-on is easy enough for users of all skill levels to understand and operate.
