This nifty screensaver earns our kudos on a number of fronts. After a lightning-fast installation, you'll be prompted to choose from a number of background scenes over which the bubbles will dart to and fro. Your choices include themes, such as Jungle, Desert, and Spring, but no matter which you pick, you'll likely enjoy the polished graphics and realistic reflections through the transparent bubbles. If you can't decide between the backgrounds, you can have the program cycle through the list at random. Bubbloids lets you determine how many bubbles appear onscreen, how big they are, and how fast they cruise around your display. Best of all, this screensaver is totally free and doesn't install any invasive third-party applications on your computer. Any user looking for an entertaining screensaver should spend a little time with Bubbloids.

I can't tell that there are any because in spite of careful work, I was unable to get it to work on my XPPro SP-3.

I enjoyed the background images that came with the program and the bubbles, themselves, were rendered well.
Cons
If upon load, two bubbles occupied the same space, or overlapped a little, they would chain together and jiggle back and forth when they got to a wall, and sometimes not separate. It was annoying. But hey, it's free...

The Bubbloid screensaver features a collection of 3D-rendered images with bubbles floating gently over them. You can set the number and size of the bubbles. Choose a background from the included collection, or load one of your own images.

New features in version 1.1 include password protection and adjustable speeds. Version 1.2 adds the option to cycle through the images.
