Editors’ Review
This simple program lets you store frequently used text snippets, but instructions to use the program aren't available in English. Brain4me's simple interface has two columns: Menu Field and Content for Clipboard. When we accessed the online help file, we were disappointed to find it was offered only in German. Left to our own devices, it turns out you enter a name for your clip in the first column, and type or paste a short text entry in the other.
Brain4me sits in the system tray, and you simply right-click the icon to see a listing of your entries by name. Once you select the item you want, use the standard paste function to insert it where you'd like. In another disappointment, you can add only 15 items.
You'll have to create a password before using the program, but the protection is only in effect when you first open the program. Once open, it's accessible by anyone, so we can't support the publisher's recommendation of using the program for password or account log-in information. Brain4me offers limited features and functionality, and even its freeware status doesn't make it a real bargain for storing text.
