Boat Beacon - AIS Navigation for Android

Boat Beacon - AIS Navigation is a specialized app designed for marine navigation, allowing users to track and monitor vessels in coastal and inland waters. This application leverages Automatic Identification System (AIS) technology to provide real-time information on nearby boats, including their speed, course, and position. With features such as collision detection and continuous CPA (Closest Point of Approach) calculations, the app enhances safety for boaters by alerting them to potential hazards while on the water.

In addition to basic AIS functionalities, Boat Beacon enables users to transmit their own position and details to other AIS users, creating a network of information sharing. The app boasts a user-friendly interface with a live map view, complete with a compass overlay that aligns with the user's heading. This functionality is particularly useful for navigating busy waterways and ensuring awareness of surrounding traffic. Overall, Boat Beacon serves as an essential tool for both leisure and professional boaters.
