This simple application helps to determine your body mass index (BMI) and basal metabolic rate, but offers no other features. BMI Calculator sports a sleek, functional interface that supports both the U.S. and metric units of measurement. Determine your BMI instantly by inputting your weight and height. The program then classifies your weight status as underweight, normal, overweight, or obese. It also gives additional comments about your weight status. Furthermore, you can determine your basal metabolic rate (BMR)--the minimum daily level of calories needed to support your body at rest--by inputting your age, weight, height, gender, and lifestyle type. During testing, the program instantly calculated our BMI and daily calorie requirements once we entered the required information. BMI Calculator is easy enough for PC users of all levels to use, and it's offered at no charge.

Developer's Description

Calculate your BMI with our free BMI Calculator to determine the amount of body fat and amount of lean body mass. BMI can be used to determine if people are at a healthy weight, overweight, or obese. People who are mesomorphic tend to have higher BMI numbers than people who are endomorphic, because they have greater bone mass and greater muscle mass, respectively, than do endomorphic individuals.
