Blockify is a free application designed to enhance the user experience while streaming music on Spotify. This utility focuses on eliminating interruptions caused by advertisements in the free version of Spotify. It automatically detects commercial breaks and mutes them, allowing for uninterrupted listening. Users can also play their MP3 files during ad breaks, making it a versatile option for those who want to enjoy music without the disruptions of ads.

In addition to its ad-blocking capabilities, Blockify offers customizable hotkeys for easy music control without needing to switch between applications. It connects seamlessly with the Spotify app, enabling users to manage playback directly from Blockify. The application does not require installation, as it can be launched directly from the downloaded zip file, but it does necessitate the presence of Microsoft .NET Framework for functionality.

Developer’s Description

Turn down the volume automatically until the advert in Spotify is over.
The adverts on Spotify started becoming seriously unbearable, so I wrote Blockify to automatically turn down the volume until the advert was over. Initially using a text list of adverts, that needed to be updated every time a new advert came out, it now can detect adverts without a list, this makes it unique.

Features: Mutes only Spotify.Play your own MP3s during adverts.Control Spotify via keyboard hotkeys.Easy to use, totally portable.
