• A first-person shooter with a deep, compelling story.

  Pros

  The premise is very unique and inventive, and the design is fantastic. Very eerie atmosphere, with several good jolts along the way.

  Cons

  I was breezing along quite happily until the penultimate battle in the demo, at which point the difficulty seemed to ramp up tenfold at least. Perhaps this was just to convey the idea of what the hairier points of the full game are like.

  Summary

  It seems like a cut above your average FPS, with a rich, immersive world... plus it's been out for a couple of years now and been super-successful. I'm not sure if it's to my liking, as I'm more of a "stealth" player, but hardcore kill-em-all shooter fans should be delighted.

  Pros

  Its graphics are incredible and the voice acting even better. There are not many videogames with such a great voice acting, or an immersive gameplay such as this. You'll love this shooter, or at least people who don't have an issue when killing kids.

  Cons

  You'll take several hours downloading just the demo. The computer mustv'e a GREAT graphx card. People who've an issue when killing kids or women on games'll be quite angered with this one, I don't care cus it's a game and the people are just zombies.

  Summary

  The game is nice, despite the fact that it's bloody and sinister. Some people will stand it, some don't, probably parents won't, but people who usually play games like Fallout 3 or something like that will love it. The game is not linear and there is much to do. Obviously, you will take THOUSANDs of hours donwloading the game. Voice acting is marvelous and graphix are superb. There is not much to say therefore I'm speechless. Gameplay is immersive and its claustrophobic maps will drag you close to the videogame. AND REMEMBER, SOMETIMES IN LIFE WE MAKE DESICIONS, BUT IN THE END, ITS THE DESICIONS WHO MAKE US.

  Great graphics, smart AI, strong enemies, intresting plot, submersive story plot, and many things to buy, upgrade, make, and find. I bought the game

  Can be a bit of a resource hog.

  Summary

  The game can be morally challenging, forcing you to make difficult decisions. When encountered by enemies, you are given many different methods for dealing with them, in the case of the 'Little Sisters' which seem to be controversial, you can do one of three things; save them, kill them, or ignore them... each of these options has advantages and disadvantages, and making the right decision can be the difference between survival and death.

  Possible spoilers. Yes it has great state of the art visuals. Yes it has outstanding sound. Yes it even has a very diffrent story line that at first drew me in until....

  Cons

  ....Until I had to kill a woman with a 3-4 pound monkey wrench, then another and another and another and another and another. Do you get the ideal? Then I watched a grown man try to kill a little girl with a pistal before her big daddy came along and took this man out. After that movie short I knew I would be facing this myself in the game but the Demo did not let me get that far and had that really happened I would never win this game and therefore, "I will NEVER buy it." The bottom line is, where do we draw the line folks? By killing women and children, even in a game enviornment, we have become no better than the terriorest who take women and children everyday. I know, its just a game and there is fake and real but buy killing woman and children in games, in my opinion, that has us crossing a line that should not be crossed, in gamming. How much more desensitized to killing are we going to get. Next we will be killing people in wheel chairs etc. If you think I am over reacting, then I am here to inform you that I am right in the middle of the game FEAR. So I do play first person shooter games with lots of blood squrting around but killing woman and children is going to far, unless you just do not care. There was a time that would be saying very little of any person but not any more.
