SnapStream Media's Beyond TV enables consumers to record TV shows on the hard drive. Users can record all, all new or single episodes. They can search the integrated program guide by title or keywords and schedule recordings up to two weeks in advance. It is also a media server that enables TV recordings to be simultaneously viewed on multiple devices inside the home. When combined with SnapStream MediaÃ?â??s Beyond TV Link, the Beyond TV experience can be shared with other networked PCs in the home. Beyond TV supports multiple tuners so two or more shows can be recorded at the same time. SnapStream Media combines the PCs low-cost, connectivity and power with the popularity of PVRs and televisions to create a solution that delivers on the promise of digital home entertainment. Beyond TV 3 received PC MagazineÃ?â??s EditorsÃ?â?? Choice Award in April 2004. 'Better than TiVo,' said Maximum PC. stupid setup for channels...

Pros
once you have done the setup, works like a champ. Recordings and squeezing works wonderful.
Cons
Setup is stupid. If you have 128 channels available then you will have to figure out what channel it is (wade though the tv ads which can be 3 minutes) then compare it to the tv line up (if you have one), then figure out if that is fox normal, fox digital, or fox hd. Now if you have deluxe cable, is that fox-east coast regular... fox-east digital... fox east hd? Most QAM channels have built in identification (station id, quality, and channel) and they don't even read it. To program 53 channels took me three hours!
Summary
Don't buy now, wait for the next version which will have the QAM identifiers readers and will auto program the channels. Don't go though the hell I went though.
