Monsters throwing fireballs! Alien forces! What more could a role-playing gamer want? Well, for one, a game with some decent graphics. Avernum 2 takes place in an underground prison, and as such it is very, very dark. The program suggests you change screen resolution before launching the game; heed this advice for it's the only way to adjust to the digital gloom. While we were able to make changes to the main characters, other details such as music are hands-off and preset by the program. Graphics, while 3D, are basic and uninspiring. A tutorial is recommended before any of the four main characters encounter fire-throwing monsters, as they torched us faster than we could say Avernum. The game bills itself for fans who "long for the good old days of Ultima and Wizardry," but we fear even those old schoolers may be disappointed.

Even better than Avernum 1, with new areas and new playable races. Again, worth the price for the full game. I don't know why people are complaining about poor graphics - that's the style of the game. It's got a great story, great gameplay, and it's a HUGE game... the hours and hours of gameplay are possible because the graphics are simple... the effort has all gone into a loonggg story. And the graphics certainly don't detract from the game in the least.

This is a rotten cheat. The stupid empire portal is BUSTED and registering Crystal Soles is a dirty waste of $$$. Never register without a nice, big BOOK OF CHEATS

This is the best game. I leave it on at night so i have dreams about it, and it is more addictive than any game ever. And when it's night time, i play secretly and no one knows.... MWAHAHAHAHA... great great game tho. 25 bucks is well well worth worth it it it it!!!! Buy it now~!

This game is a very good RPG in the old style. It's graphics are good enough to not put off a newer gamer, and it's storyline is superb. The invintory works well and you can build a very customized party. This is a great game, very easy to get addicted to. Grab the demo now!
