Auto Timesheet logs the sites, files and applications you work with. The main purpose of the application is to gather information about the time a user spends on each application, website or file. The collected information can be used for personal time management, parental control, managerial control over the employees' time in an enterprise, timesheets, and billing. Auto Timesheet registers all the applications running on the computer, when their windows are active, and logs the time of the activity. Application Developers, Project estimators, Sales Personnel, Technical Writers, Translators, RFP bidders. Registering working time, thinking time (when the window is active, but there is no user activity) and total time spent with the application. Filtering of data by time range and other parameters. Flexible logging configuration (by window title, child window title, website URL, full or substring).

Simple and useful

Pros
Easy to use and understand, doesn't try to install anything else, and does what it's supposed to do.
Cons
It doesn't look pretty.
Summary
I would highly recommend this to writers, students, or anyone else who needs to manage their time on the computer. This program tracks your time on different activities very well.

Pros
Fully automated Doesn't send any data to internet, so it works even when I'm not online. Detailed reports - per day, week... Free
Cons
It doesn't report usage per hour, so I don't know if I worked during regular business hours or at night (sometimes I charge overtime)
Summary
I like it because it gives me a tool to find exact number of hours spent on a specific document/website/program. I often simultaneously work on multiple documents/projects, so I believe this program will help me to bill my clients more accurate. In these few days that I use auto timesheet, I already found 1.5 hours that I'd loose without it. That means I found some $$... Not bad for a free software :)
