Used Arfcom Ad Blocker for Windows?
Editors’ Review
It can block ads, but only on two sites and without saving you page load time. If that doesn't sound like much of a recommendation, it isn't. We weren't overly impressed with this freeware Firefox add-on.
Arfcom Ad Blocker follows the normal Firefox add-on installation process. Use the browser to download this app and it is placed in your add-on folder. A quick Firefox restart and you're ready to go. There are no options to set or functions to enable with Arfcom Ad Blocker. Simply surf to either AR15.com or AK47.net. The page loads normally, ads and all, then this add-on hides the advertisements that sit just below the site logo. Users must still let each advertisement load before this tool will hide them as small black boxes. In other words, this app is purely for aesthetics. You won't improve page load time by blocking the ads before they're loaded.
If you spend any time at either Web site, and just don't want to look at their ads while you view the page, this freeware add-on will help. If you'd like to save time, you'll need a better advertising block utility.
