  AptEdit (along with AptDiff) is definitely a great text editing tools! It has all features that an "editor" should have with such light weight. Multi-tab, syntax highlighting, code folding, column editing, hex editing, comparison, etc., well you name it. I've tried several other editors before, finding AptEdit most attractive in these: 1) Small & fast! It's small though rich in features can be launched instantly. Opening of large files is also swift. 2) Helpful encoding options! This means you can view files in any ANSI encodings as long as Windows supports it! Especially useful when you need to view or edit a file in East Asian languages like Chinese or Japanese. 3) The free lite version has most features as an editor, which means you can use it as long as you wish to. I guess it's worth a try, indeed.

  1. Launch very quickly, and consume less system resource. This is very important. 2. Powerful block operation. 3. Friendly interface.

  Not support huge text file

  Pros

  I am a embed programmer. I use it to edit my media files. Unlimited undo/redo, highlighting changed bytes, copy selected bytes as C/Java/C# array. Great editor!
