Application Launcher for Drive for Windows

Application Launcher for Drive is a free browser extension designed to enhance file management for Google Drive users. This tool enables users to open files stored in Google Drive directly with their preferred desktop applications, rather than being confined to Google’s suite of apps. By integrating seamlessly with installed software, users can work with their files in the environment that best suits their needs, thereby improving workflow efficiency. The extension requires the installation of Google Drive for PC to function correctly, allowing for a two-way sync of files between the cloud and local storage.

Despite its intended convenience, users may encounter reliability issues with Application Launcher for Drive. The extension sometimes fails to display new options for opening files, which can hinder productivity. Additionally, it may redirect users to its download page instead of providing immediate access to desired applications. While it serves a specific purpose, users might find better functionality in alternative extensions that offer more robust features for managing Drive files.
