Antamedia DHCP is freeware, simple and powerful. Features include: Controls 65.000 computers without any licensing costs; Configure fixed IP addresses for selected MAC addresses; Exclude desired IP addresses; Block desired computers based on MAC; Define IP Pool (range of IP addresses which will be assigned to computers); Update network adapters directly from software (instead of opening network properties, TCP/IP). If user tries to manually configure IP which is already in use, after several unsuccessful attempts to assign IP, DHCP will store it in blocked list (useful if someone wants to hack your HotSpot). Version 1.5 is a bug fixing release.
It changed the fixed IP data in the network adapter nd stopped it working. It doesn't uninstall properly; on XP the uninstall routine failed(!) and on Vista it left loads of crap (including a network driver) behind which even Revo didn't find.
Summary
This is an awful piece of software, I have no idea whether it works because my network connection wouldn't stay up long enough to find out. And it doesn't uninstall fully, either on XP or Vista. Stay away from this software!
Gets the job done, but has issues
SierraWing
Pros
It delivers IP addresses as advertised in certain configurations. Easy to set up.
Cons
Would not function on a Win 7 / x64 PC on a WLAN connection. As others have pointed out, there is not uninstaller. But it's easy enough to remove manually without needing a system restore.
Summary
I run a couple independent networds here. My high-speed cable went out, so I needed a way to quickly get all my Internet aware devices out on my business T1s. This required some really fancy routing on a particular gateway machine, and a DHCP server that could operate outside the wireless router to deliver the correct gateway to these devices. Once I moved the installation to a Vista / 32-bit PC that is hardwired to the router I was able to get it to behave normally. On the Win 7 / 64 pc, which is the actualy gateway, it just wouldn't work. Machines that could see the gateway fine when set up with static IPs were unable to contact the DHCP that was running on it when configured to use DHCP. Weird stuff... The totally dysfunctionaly uninstaller is a real annoyance, but removing it from HKLM\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Services... in the registry and deleting the installation folder takes care of it. I just discovered there is a version 3.0 available from the developer. I haven't tried it yet, but maybe some of these issues have been reoslved.

Pros
Small installation. Easy management.
Cons
No drowbacks really.
Summary
Relly nice that that there is a service installation option. Don't forget to restart computer if installed as a service or start the service manually.
Had to system-restore to get rid of it!
jpgburgess
Pros
Reasonable interface, options looked good, easy to configure. 2 mins from install to clients receiving DHCP addresses.
Cons
Once installed, the host machine lost all internet connectivity. No un-install through start menu, un-inst through add/remove progs didn't work. Had to system restore in the end.
Summary
Wouldn't bother with it.
Not good enough.
edwinlaifa
Pros
Quite simple.
Cons
Not only can't be uninstalled, can't select which interface card to lease IP addresses as well, resulting in certain network segment having more than 1 DHCP servers.
Summary
Must improve.
Good, small DHCP server but WON'T UNINSTALL.
Wildcat96
Pros
Installs easily with small footprint
Clean and easy to use UI
Good DHCP features and performance
Cons
It doesn't uninstall, and therefore you are stuck with the service for the rest of your life. This is a major problem that must be addressed.
Summary
While I like the usability, the fact that it won't uninstall makes it a "leach" and is unaccaptable.
