• Can play many formats but ruins thumbnails

  Ruins your thumbnails previews. Not fixed by uninstall. Fortunately I could fix the problem using system restore. Chance of it being a slightly revamped and heavily disguised version of media player classic(read summary)

  Summary

  I installed this product and started using it. After a while I noticed that it was not on my context menu for opening a file. I went to program files and went to this program's folder. But the name of the program had changed to mplayerc(media player classic!) I reinstalled the program. After a while, the same problem. This time, I went to the folder and changed the spelling by hand. For a while things were allright. Then I noticed that my thumbnail images weren't loading. Everything has this program's icon --- a chameleon over a frame of filmroll. I uninstalled the program(only way to do this is to keep the instaler(the downloaded file) around, click on it and select 'remove' Any other way doesn't work) But still the chameleons hung around. Finally I had to use system restore. (I used the restore point created by installing this) I'm a little surprised it worked considering how sensitive Windows Explorer is; not all Windows Explorer problems go away by using system restore as I can avow from experience. If you value your thumbnail images, as well you might, stay away from this.

  It showed media that I could not get many other players to play.

  The movie jerked a small bit if I touched the controls. I didn't like the revolving controls.
