  Nice snow falling! Very festive.

  Cons

  I wish there was some optional sound to it, and it would be nice if they had some other optional backgrounds (perhaps a snowy village, or a snowy Thomas Kinkade type of cottage, or a Christmas lights / Christmas tree type of background with snow)! Something like the Freeze.com screensaver (but without the Freeze.com viruses and privacy issues!!)

  Free version is fine! The warning message is small, and tucked away in the corner. Nicely done!

  Pros

  I love the ability to not only set how much snow is falling, but wind direction and speed. I like having the date, time and calendar available on the desktop while the screensaver is active. It is easy to configure. I had it on an old computer years ago and am thrilled to have it installed on my computer once again. One of a few screensavers that I feel that I can use year round. With or without a background image.

  I like the changing scenes and that I can control how much snow and how fast it falls. I also like having the large clock to glance at when I pass by the computer.

  Pros

  I asked for this mod and was told they couldn't do it, but they must have decided it was a good idea. I have some great winter scenes that I just wanted to have a good snowstorm over. Well, this is the screen saver you want. Use the built in pics or your own wallpaper. Nothing super fancy, just good old let it snow let it snow - the big wet flake snowstorm midwest kind.

  Cons

  It may be a little pricey for the full version since it's only a screen saver, but if I decide it's a keeper I may go for the whole deal.

  Pros

  Great snowflake animation, and control over the flake size,quantity, and wind direction. Some good background frames for snow scenery too.

  Cons

  The free version has giant "nag" text at the bottom of the screen that is overly intrusive. There needs to be more control over the backgrounds, also - it would be much better if you could put in your own list of backgrounds, or simply designate your current wallpaper as the background, with the snow on top.
