Andy OS, an Android emulator, enables you to run mobile apps and games in a sandboxed custom build of Android on your Windows desktop.

Pros

Full Android experience: While other Android emulators only let you emulate individual apps over a custom user interface, Andy OS lets you in on the full Android experience.

Wide range of app compatibility: Full emulation means Andy can run any apps in the Google Play store. Notifications, app side-loading (installing apps outside Google Play), and even rooting are doable if you have the know-how.

Advanced options: Built on top of open-source Oracle VM VirtualBox, Andy is fully customizable, provided you have the technical knowledge. Modern PCs are powerful enough that you can tweak the virtual machine to run at much higher hardware settings than the standard preset for a smoother Android experience.

Remote control: With the Andy Remote Control app, you can use your Android phone or tablet as a controller to play games wirelessly.

Cons

Clunky setup: Downloading and installing Andy requires patience. On some machines we were able to download, install, and run in one go, while other PCs required tweaking. Setting up Andy Remote Control is also a test of will -- the app sometimes did not recognize our PC. However, Andy's Facebook support page is packed with troubleshooting tips.

Hardware-intensive: Andy is not a light app: it requires a minimum of 3GB of RAM and 20GB of hard disk space. Launching multiple apps in Andy will result in some sluggishness. You don't need a powerhouse to run Andy, but a decent rig is recommended, especially if you plan to give the VM an extra boost in advanced settings.

Runs Jelly Bean: Andy OS is currently running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, one of the more popular Android versions that is now a bit outdated. If you've been working on KitKat or Lollipop, you'll have to wait a bit longer until they come to Andy.

Bottom Line

Andy OS is a capable Android emulator. The app has hefty requirements and a tricky installation but offers much more customization than most virtualization software. Full Android emulation allows you to run pretty much everything inside and outside Google Play, and the remote-control function makes Andy ideal for gaming. The level of compatibility makes the application a great way for you to delve into Android's ecosystem without buying extra hardware.

Too many intrusive ads to be a real Android experience

Clean interface. Easy navigation, almost like native Android. Installs and runs on Windows 10.
Cons
Lags at times, even with a high end gaming laptop. Intrusive ads that fill screen and even change orientation of screen and play loud ads. Auto-installs junkware to your computer as well as apps to the AndY program without notice. Is not up to date (looks like Jelly Bean, but not 100% certain of this).
Summary
The pros and cons cover it. The aggressive ads that repeatedly took over the interface every minute or so while I was trying to use it, and junkware that was installed to my computer, made AndY a non-keeper for me. I recommend using an uninstaller program to remove this one.

Games lag on Windows 10 - Summoners War lags very badly, can't really be played as it makes scrolling through menus terrible.
Summary
Now I need to find a new emulator. I'd love to go back to Andyroid if they ever fix it for Windows 10.

Cons
Did not startup, did not run, no error messages, and technical support is full of people insulting me. Made changes to existing PC VMware icons and who knows what else.
Summary
So insulted by the trolls at support, writing a negative review. Looked at other people with issues and few if any were getting help. Everyone seemed to have the same problem, does not start with the latest version. That's a downer... wish they would start listening to the new and existing users. Instead I put a Android VM into Oracle Virtual Box and had an emulator working in much less time. Still looking for a good phone emulator. Google's does not work, Andy does not... may need to write my own. Other emulators I have used for other platforms work immediately with no extra configuration... this is all just silly, but I can ramble more, just really upset I wasted my time on this.
STAY AWAY, this is worst than a virus.

Broken uninstaller, will need to be manually removed or using a third party uninstaller, resource sink, slow, hard to use, incompatible with most systems.
Summary
Don't download this piece of crap. I can't think of a program i despise more. Tried it on 3 computers, wont work on Windows 8.1, 7 or vista, tried several compatibility options to no avail, hardest uninstallation ever. If there is someone you REALLY hate then you might find use in installing this piece of shit on that hated person's PC. I mean REALLY hate, not your brother o sister when you're mad with em.
As of Nov. 2015 it is too sluggish to use.

Does not install. Upon execution, it creates program folders and shows up in Programs under system settings. However, it cannot be uninstalled with Add/Remove programs.

- Runs under Virtualbox so you can adapt CPU, RAM, video and other settings to improve overall performance - Compared to BlueStacks I found it way better in performance and compatibility

- Sometimes initial 'tablet setup' hangs, have to restart the emulator - Not compatible with all software (Mostly games due to graphics) - only uses Android 4.2.2 as of Sept 2015
Summary
Overall Andy is a good desktop Android emulator. The only problems are that some apps don't run at all or have constant crashing issues. The developers do seem to be putting out minor updates, however they don't communicate the changes or future development much on their website or Facebook. When you state that you use the latest Android OS in it.. you shouldn't be on 4.2.2 at this point. Aside from these drawbacks, if you don't have an Android tablet or you want to run your Android games/apps (when they're compatible) it's better than other stuff such as Blue Stacks.
