• Unbeatable For The Price

  Pros

  Easy to learn - easy to use - decent sound - working musician's price.

  Cons

  For my purposes, and for only $40, I can't think of anything negative.

  Summary

  At 52 years of age, I've had a lot of experience with real drums, drum machines & drum software over the last 3-1/2 decades of playing/recording. My last experience was with my Alesis SR16 - a great sounding drum machine, but too complicated for me to figure out how to use properly. I wanted something simple to make drum tracks quickly for my multi-track projects, not spend hours on technical issues. BeatCraft is not going to sound like professional-grade software costing 10-20 times as much, but as a serious hobbyist/semi-pro musician, it perfectly meets my needs. Highly recommended.

  Its mostly pretty easy to use. Good interface and drag and drop.

  Cons

  You have to go and find your own beat kits. If anyone wants to have the full version just ask me and ill send you what you need. Repost here if you need it. And it reminds me a lot of fruity loops???

  Pros

  I use Beatcraft mostly for hip-hop beats. I think it works pretty good for this genre. The graphic interface is pretty nice (especially compared to some other drum machines I've used). The program itself is pretty cheap. The samples that come with it sound pretty good.

  Cons

  For genres that usually use an acoustic set in beats, this program just doesn't offer that same sound and feel as an acoustic set. Not many other drum kits are available (I've only been able to find about 3 or 4 so far). Patterns can get confusing sometimes (but I think this is usually an issue in many drum machines). Not many samples are packaged with the program, so that doesn't allow a wide range to make your beats sound hugely different from each other.

  Super easy interface, low clutter on windows, simple copy paste options, easy to add new samples, good quality renedering, a friggin monkey could use this, simply beautiful.

  Pros

  Endless pro's, no limit to instruments you can add. Program comes with a wide array of percussion sounds, drums sound "real" not fake like other hardware/software I won't name. The ability to add your own sounds, which I recorded each piece of a 22 piece drum set and added it to beatcraft and it turned out perfect, I use the kit for all the recording I do. With a little common sense you can easily give your song or "sequence" a human feel. Perform all the same moves that a real drummer can do including quads, triplets, flams, chokes, and even have it go out of time a little here and there on purpose and will sound even more human. Rendering to mp3, wav, wma or ogg (don't know what this other guy is talking about, must have a problem with his pc, there is no making 1 mp3 and that's it, he is flat out doing something wrong, or has a computer problem). Built in effects are perfectly created, compression, nice reverbs, and multiple others. I can't say enough about this application, it is perfect. And for the money? It's a steal. I have purchased Acoustica products since around 1999 and never had a problem with them, not to mention the support is unbeatable. <p>Beatcraft is a one of a kind product that I recommend to anyone who wants to create real sounding drums, or r&b beats, loops, or any other type of percussion. <p>Someone having trouble?   Pros

  I only had to trial this one for a day before buying. Beatcraft is my second product from Acoustica. It sounds great, its easy to use, the price is reasonable, and it runs smoothly on my system which has a 2.80GHz processor/512mb ram/Windows XP .
