Does the Job
tiredtigerrunJune 20, 2015
Pros
i needed to get rid of leading track numbers and a handful of other things. This helped me organize my entire library! Pretty simple to use. Did the job.
Cons
Takes a while as you can only do 10 files at a time!! and it tells you EVERY TIME that you should be upgrading, i know this pls stahp.... Changes the homepage on your browser (shocker...) installs JustCloud which is extremely annoying and useless but on the install page it gives you a CHOICE, i didn't know i had one as it made it seem necessary for the app. Price is too high...
Summary
Would I recommend this program? Yes, absolutely and although there are a lot of cons, it is to be expected with a free application as it is how they are funded, unfortunately by malware. It still did the job and in less time than it would take me to do it one by one.. 10/10 would use again.
So much malware.

Pros
I couldn't say, since I was distracted by the malware meltdown of 2013.
Cons
Um, MALWARE. Suddenly, I have Yahoo! as my default search engine on Firefox and Chrome, all kinds of Ebay and Amazon extensions on both browsers. Oh, and a couple of applications that I can't delete. And this on my Mac!
Summary
I've used CNET for years to download programs. It's supposed to be safe. I even went through (albeit unintentionally) the CNET installer. What. The. Heck.
A Better Finder Rename Mac A Must have Utility
junebug001November 11, 2012
Pros
Same author for Mac & PC versions. Both have been around for years. Both have been constantly update. Quick, Flawless, Can handle any of your renaming needs. When you need it... There is nothing better than either one of these "Better" products.
Cons
The only one I can think of is me.... Better Finder Rename is used to correct my file naming mistakes or to improve on existing ones.
Summary
I'm not sure how long I have used this utility but it must be 12 to 15 years and they have never let me down.
Best renaming program & batch file handler available!
coit540April 25, 2012
Pros
I've used A Better Finder Rename for years. It is almost perfect in all the things it can do and saves you alot of time during renaming, serial renaming, etc. The only thing I wish it did that a previous version did is allow you to rename individual files one at a time.
Cons
Can't, in my hands, rename individual files one at a time. Author is supposed to be working a way to do this.
Summary
Very handy
jc666March 8, 2012
Pros
lots of versatility regarding naming of files
Cons
Wish I could use music tags to rename files.
Summary
well worth it.
Great but could be improved
coit540July 19, 2011
Pros
Does so many great things it's hard to list the benefits.
Cons
Has lost the ability to modify individual names during a batch rename. This is a sorely missed feature. Please bring it back!
Summary
The hours and effort this will save you is easily worth the cost. I highly recommend it.
Brilliant!

Pros
It's brilliant
Cons
None that I can see
Summary
Does exactly what it says on the box. Excellent. Pay for it - it's worth it.
Works great for the simple tasks I've tried
jsabin--2008April 28, 2011
Pros
Saves time, don't have to do tedious renaming of files.
Cons
Only 10 files can be renamed at a time in the free version. But you can run it again and again. So for free, it's a deal.
Summary
Good little time saver.
The program makes well what it promises
md0899February 23, 2011
Pros
easy and clear to use
Cons
I would like more options than the ones it actually has
Summary
The best multipurpose file name utility!
coit540January 3, 2011
Pros
Ease of use.
Cons
Can't edit individual files like in previous versions.
Summary
This is the best file name processor for Macs. Bar none!
