XpressDox for Word 2007 or Word 2010 (32-bit) is an add in that installs to the Microsoft Office Word ribbon. Templates and data are stored using OpenXML to ensure compatibility with other systems. In addition to Word, documents can be generated in PDF format for even more portability.
Templates may be run locally or shared across your organization. While it is powerful enough to handle any document automation requirement it is the flexibility of low cost deployment that truly sets this software apart. Your same templates, authored on the desktop, will run in any browser and on PDAs such as iPad.
For large organizations where cost of software deployment is an issue it makes sense to deploy templates via the web. This means that new templates are instantly available to all users regardless of location (branch office, home, or on the road), version enhancements are available to all users instantly, and no proprietary software is needed to run templates or view completed documents.
The software will execute your routing instructions so that completed documents could be automatically emailed to internal or external recipients. Customers and clients can enter information themselves for example. This is ideally suited for the capture of contract information, quotation requests, finance applications, new client take-on forms, legal forms, new staff take-on forms, and vacation application forms.
