• BEST solution for online presentations and meetings

  Pros

  HTML viewer!! - I didn't know they had this at first but we just learned about it on their blog and it has changed forever the way we make sales calls and invite clients to presentations! There are no downloads for the client - they just go to the website and connect. I can't tell you how many times we had problems with other meeting programs which forced the client to download software and strange plugins. And previously with Gotomeeting we had problems with clients trying to connect to the meeting but their anti-virus program or firewall would block them. The HTML viewer is free from all that garbage and just works. And it works with every client!

  Cons

  It would be cool to see them add remote keyboard/mouse control to the HTML viewer. That way we could use the HTML viewer for remote support moments. Of course the regular Mikogo software works for that so it covers both bases. But it would just be super-cool to have a remote support tool which had zero downloads!

• Amazing Software - Wish we started using this earlier!

  Pros

  Very easy to download and get started. Likewise for the client - we use the software for client meetings and presentations and invite them to join over the Web with Mikogo. They find it very easy to join especially with the HTML Viewer because there are no downloads for them. And great value for money! We first tried the free version to test it out. After successful test period we purchased a pro plan for a year. Now that has expired so we're upgrading to their "lifetime plan".

  Cons

  Some clients had trouble finding the "Join Session" link on their homepage but once they found it, no problem. Also it would be nice to have a couple more features in the HTML viewer e.g. chat

  Pros

  Do not order this product. If you think you're getting a monthly plan, think again. I paid for the 13.00 month plan; it said cancel anytime - nothing about no refunds.

  Cons

  They will answer your call before you are a customer, after forget about it. It's one guy working from his house; very unprofessional. The HTML does not work with remote desktop... another thing they fail to mention.

  Don't waste your money on this service.

  reasonable install and functionality, except...

  Cons

  Currently does not allow you to turn off 'chimes' for entering and exiting meetings. That's disruptive for long and large telecons. Because of this we canceled our subscription the beginning of December 2012.Unfortunately, there was an auto renew selected when we originally subscribed December 16,2011. It auto renewed despite our cancellation notice prior to the "renewal date". When we received the email December 19, 2012 on the charge we immediately canceled again. Their business practice is NO refunds. They insist they'll cancel us for 2014 but we're supposedly on the hook for 2013.

  Summary

  join.me does everything Mikogo does, just as simply with control over meeting entry and exit notifications. And I don't have to deal with business practices that result in both the service company and my company spending more level of effort and costs in cancelling an unwanted service than we paid for the service.

  Pros

  What a great service. I used it today for a web demo/collaboration. I had people from 5 locations and used teleconferencing. We needed to change presenters on numerous occasions and shared controls of one anothers desktops and even shared a file.

• PERFECT for Conferencing Solutions and Remote Support

  Pros

  Whether you are a Host or Participant, Mikogo is very easy to use. No installation or setup is needed. Their website offers a very professional and active Forum which is constantly monitored by Mikogo staff in case you should need any help.

  Cons

  Although their website offers a total of 8 languages, the Mikogo starter program comes only in English at the moment.

  Summary

  My wife and I will be the first to admit, we depend on my computers (1 PC and 2 Laptops) to do everything but the laundry for us. We use it to keep in contact with our family, friends and business contacts (more than our cell phones), we use it to remind us of our events and tasks, my wife uses it to shop online, I use it to conduct business and earn a living so she can afford to shop online - so when something goes wrong with any of our precious machines, it might as well be Armageddon for us. The nearest (decent) computer repair shop to my house is about 20 minutes away. So, whenever our computers act up on us, we spend the next 30 minutes or so cursing our luck and singing 'Kumbaya' while we wait for Lee, our computer repair man, to come to our house. Recently however, I stumbled upon Mikogo - and the solution to my remote support needs. The point of conferencing solutions is to make it user-friendly and safe for hosts and participants to engage online. In this respect, Mikogo is definitely my number one choice. The free version that Mikogo offers is already a very powerful tool for normal personal or business use. If you should need to cater to more participants, premium services and packages are offered by their parent company, BeamYourScreen.
