Easily create ringtones from your favorite sound files with this simple utility, but don't expect simple fades. Make Your Own Ringtone's tabbed interface uses an easy-to-follow wizard process to create ringtones. We wish it could handle multiple files (as similar programs in this genre can), but generating a single ringtone is quick.

A slider makes short work of picking the exact part of the song you want to convert, though we do wish the zoom function was more precise. Your completed ringtone will sound abrupt, since Make Your Own Ringtones doesn't have a fade-in or -out function. The phone compatibility test may be confusing to some novices, but it's a must-use feature.

You can't save your new ringtone or send it to your phone without registration. The demo also limits your test ringtone to a few seconds. Novices will find Make Your Own Ringtones easy to use, but there are more flexible ringtone creators in this genre.

Don't waste your time or dime

Cheap and poor user interface.
Cons
I choose to save to computer but the software DOES NOT tell me where it saved to or under what name. Needle in a hay stack. I cannot finish after working on it for almost an hour. Not user friendly or intuitive. Support is poor.

Not user friendly. Poor functionality. Weak/slow support. You get what you pay for...not much.

can not upload to phone via their service..only allows 30 sec ringtones.(can only download straight from the computer) using usb or bluetooth.

I would recomend if all phones have access to your computer(usb or bluetooth) customer service I found to be very responsive. by email..which is a downer if you need an answer right now..

Pros
I like the program and the fact that it has simple and easy to use edit functions. It was easy to make about 4 or 5 ringtones for specific callers. The transfer to the phone went off without any problems. I nice application that saves me from paying those theives at Verizon.

This program is so simple to use and cheaper and better then bying ringtones elsewhere. And what an excellent service from the customer department when in trouble. Top service, top application. Truly this can be recommended to everyone.

This works fine for ringtones but it is great for short 5 second alerts. I can take and convert both voice and music files as audio alerts.

I tried this out on a recomendation and found it to be both easy to use and fun. now I can use the music from some o fmy favorite local bands that the carriers never offer.
Cons
I had no problem with the upload to my V3 but I had problems with the upload on my brother's Alltel AudioVox phone.
