Editors' Review

This application offers parents a piece of mind while youngsters peruse the Web, though it has some slight limitations. KidSplorer Web Browser only allows children to visit Web sites you've selected. The program operates in KidSafe mode and is password-protected. There is a parental mode for easy configuration, though the password is disabled in this version. You'll be able to add, edit, and remove URLs. The program can be set to run at start-up and its interface is pleasing and kid-friendly. Approved site names are conveniently listed in a column so kids can simply point and click to access approved sites. While it doesn't limit PC use altogether, you'll certainly appreciate the addition of a time manager to block Internet access at specified times. For controlling childrens' online playtime, KidSplorer is notably effective.
