  Easily splits mp4 file. Very fast.

  Doesn't show you whats happening while it's splitting the file. Doesn't indicate that it has finished.

  Summary

  Tried splitting an 8Gb mp4 file into two parts, using ultra video splitter. Would not recognize the file. Downloaded free MP4 splitter from Media Freeware. Installed and within minutes had split the file. Very good program. Worth having a look at all Media Freeware's other goodies.

• Fishy and trouble causing

  None, couldn't get it to work.

  Cons

  Deletes your cookies so you have to sign in to sites again, triggered my Anti-Virus scanner (Avast), prompts you to install other software and then doesn't work.

  Summary

  I'm being prompted to sign in to all the sites I use (all at once, so it's not a coincidence). Since it triggered Avast, I will need to do a full scan and investigate how to remove "Chromium" which I didn't want installed. My guess is that some of the five star reviews are either fake or from people who didn't yet know that their computer is now compromised.

• Doesn't Come With Terrible Malware Unless You Accept It

  Does what it says on the tin. Needed to take 4 minutes off an mp4 that I downloaded from Youtube and it did exactly that very quickly. The quality of the clipped video that is left is every bit as Good as the original. Well pleased with it. Didn't have to install anything other than the program itself which took LESS than 2 minutes.

  Nothing that I can see so far.

  Summary

  Free MP4 Splitter is a nice little program. I can see me using it a lot. If you don't want a Yahoo toolbar and other Yahoo stuff, tick the box that says you don't want it. If you don't want a whole load of other stuff that's been bundled with the installer, don't accept them. Simple! Some people are just too lazy to read the install instructions.

  program itself works well and easy to use

  requires you to install several programs (even if you decline to them) and installed malware that took me 30 minutes to get rid of, but my bookmarks were all lost in the process.
