Flock is designed to streamline and emphasize how you interface with social networking sites, RSS and media feeds, and blogs. Because it's built on Firefox 3, its behavior will feel familiar and it supports most--but not all--Firefox extensions. And yes, the "awesome bar" is part of the latest version.

Flock's social network savvy sidebar is the reason to get this browser. Buttons at the top of the collapsible sidebar make accessing any of your social networking or frequently used Web sites easier than Twittering what you had for breakfast. Feature-focused, each button either helps you get your message out faster, like dragging and dropping photos into Flickr, or helps you read your friends' messages quicker, like the integrated RSS reader. The People button turns the sidebar into a nifty way to track all your social networking accounts. Your avatar is displayed on the left, while the right contains links for new messages and new comments. The bottom holds the links to upload new media when applicable and a hot link to open or close your media stream.

There are also hot links to most major blogging sites, and if you choose to configure it for your own self-published blog, Flock guides you through the process. New users will likely find it overwhelming at first, but it really does give you a more comprehensive and real-time view into your social network than you can get otherwise.

What’s new in version 3.5.3.4641

Version 2.6.1 has incorporated Mozilla's 3.0.19 patch for Firefox and fixed the Delicious login detection issue.

Virus ridden

Pros
Didn't see any. Thought this would work well with FB, wrong.
Cons
Hated the color, the layout was too small, just didn't care for it.
Summary
Put a virus on my computer when I took it off, call MIXI DJ? or DJ MIXI? Anyhow was without my laptop for a week while it was being repaired.

Summary
Tried to use a browser that would replace RockMelt for my wife. This browser looks beautiful if only it didn't crash so much. I kept getting that my Facebook page had an application that was not supported and it wasn't any games. When it did work the main page took forever to lot.

Pros
It was fast and didn't use a very large amount of memory.
Cons
It's no longer supported and is now vulnerable to threats.
Summary
It's no longer supported. Also, Flock 3 was released which is similar to Chrome. I have used Chrome extensions in Flock 3. Not sure if the same can be done with Flcok 2 and Firefox extensions/ add-ons.
A superior PC application.

This is a good application. One that I am happy I have, and one that I am happy to have the use of every day. For the best application and support, get this application. If you don't want those, get another application.

Received an email that technical support for Flock was being discontinued. : (.
Summary
Flock is almost identical to Google Chrome but doesn't seem to crash or have the bugs that Chrome has. Has the speed dial extension that I love and, actually, most of the Chrome extensions that are great. With flock, I never lost any extensions and to date, it has never crashed. The only fault I found is that Flock is no longer being supported. (If anyone knows that this has changed, I would love to know!) Great Browser, I love it!

Pros
Nicest social browser there is. Easily access your social accounts with the sidebar. Config email with notifications and tweet or update facebook statuses, all on the browser itself. It's like Outlook, firefox and Tweetdeck rolled into one.
Cons
I'm going to stop using this browsr because they've withdrawn support. Which means it will become obsolete and insecure to use pretty fast.
Summary
Great browser but absolutely would not recommend using a browser that has no support for security or anything else.

Cons
Browser will no longer be secure according to flock's makers as no longer supported. They are encouraging everyone on to Firefox or Chrome. Not all features will work still after that.
Summary
This browser is becoming obsolete and not supported by it makers like IE6. It will not be updated and they have told me it will not be secure and various features will stop working.

Going with Chome Using old Chrome Code Getting acquired by Zynga
Summary
The switch to Chrome was bad idea on its own however using an older code of Chrome is a Fail! I would use RockMelt or Friefox instead. The recent move to Zynga will kill this browser in the long run, making it an investment not worth making. Stick to the browser with more support and acceptance.

This is a awesome browser with lots of useful features & It's great to hear that they will update the browser when Gecko 2 is released which at one stage I was afraid they wouldn't seeing that they went with the webkit source code.
Cons
None but It would be great if they had some themes so we can change the look of the browser.
Summary
A feature packed browser which will be even better when Gecko 2 is released & hopefully we could see some more features added when this happens sometime next year.
