<p>I'm using FineCrypt for 3 years and don't know absolutely no other file encryption program (free or not) that could be compared with FineCrypt by quality and feature richness. I very recommend it to all.

<p>By the way, it's almost free. The only limitation in free version is that you cannot encrypt more than 5 files at a time. I need to encrypt many files and use the full version, but many people I know are using and very satisfied with the free version.

If you REALLY want to do some free encryption, use TRUECRYPT and follow up with ERASER. They're both pretty quick & easy. I also downloaded both of these for free from download.com. Why settle for anything other than the best? Try out TrueCrypt and Eraser first! I don't see any need for FineCrypt.
