No matter how much you can fit on modern storage disks, some files are just too big, and FileSplit handily helps you manage these beasts. FileSplit performed well in our tests, and we especially appreciate its ability to create self-merging sets of files, so the recipient of your file doesn't need to install any third-party software. You'll also find an option for packaging fragments as a ZIP file. The program adds the Split option to the right-click menu of Windows Explorer and offers several process options. You can break your file up by number of pieces, segment sizes, or download times. The program has a list of predefined piece sizes based on the target media, including disk, CD, or ZIP or Jaz drive. If you don't need FileSplit's advanced capabilities, you may want to check the file managers or compressing software installed on your PC, since many of them can split files. Professionals and home users with advanced splitting needs will find a lot to like about FileSplit.

i was spliting 2,2 Gb in 4 pices whit 650 mb each workt super. :)

it split my 14mb file into two 7mb's so that i could email it. i'm happy :-)

nothin... except the 30 day trial. But this is hecka good software, i might actually buy it. I've only bought one other piece of software online, jetAudio mp3 codec cuz it is daaarn good.... i think fileSplit just might meet my "darn good" standards.

I tried the program and the self-extracting .exe file wouldn’t merge the files back together. I sent an email to support and the response I received was that they’d get to me in 3 to 5 days. Of course if I register and pay for a program that doesn’t work they’ll get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. I’d like to use the built in help but it doesn’t work either. It’s a shame because otherwise it looks like it could be a good program but the support is amateurish and discourages potential customers.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Partridge Software designed this File Splitter to be USED. It's fast, it's easy, and it works Ã¢?? all for only $10 to register. I've tried a dozen file splitting utilities, but FileSplit beats them all on performance and ease of use. If you trade large files at work or online, you NEED FileSplit. So go get it!
