If you're trying to learn geography, staring at a map will only do so much; you need a way to test your knowledge. Enigeo is an easy-to-use program that creates interactive custom geography quizzes. Whether you're studying for a test or just trying to improve your knowledge of world geography, Enigeo is a powerful tool for helping you learn about the countries of the world.

The program's interface is intuitive, with an opening screen where you can configure the information you want included on your quiz. You can select particular continents, restrict countries by area or population, and select whether you want to be quizzed on particular countries' locations, flags, and capitals. You can also select how many questions you want the quiz to include and can choose to either type in answers or use a multiple-choice format. When you're ready to take your quiz, Enigeo will display a world map and start asking questions. Countries that are correctly identified are highlighted in green, while errors are highlighted in red, making it easy to see where your weak spots are. The program can keep track of scores for different players, allowing users to track their progress and compete against one another. An explorer mode lets you click on any country and view its name, capital, flag, area, and population. Enigeo has no Help file, but we didn't mind; everything about it was pretty easy to figure out. Overall, we think that Enigeo is a great tool for anyone who wants to brush up on geography.
