This is a pre release of our web based enterprise directory and self service portal. Using a browser, a portal visitor will first see the employee directory displayed in a searchable and sortable grid. They can quickly filter the list to locate specific employee contacts. Visitors can edit their own profile and upload their picture. A manager may also designate subordinates and see related Org Charts.
Changes that an employee makes to their own profile are stored in an Exchange contact folder (private or public) which allows individual contact details (for example home phone) to be hidden from the directory and accessible only to authorized users. A future version of this offering will push specific fields back to the GAL.
The implementation uses Internet Information Server, Microsoft .Net Frameworks 4.0, Silverlight, Exchange Server and fully leverages Windows Domain Authentication for user and administrator access.
The version you will download is fully functional and has been tested with up to 20,000 users. You may purchase professional enterprise support for a nominal charge which also includes a self service reminder module that can deliver an email to each user with their contact details to remind them to verify their contact information and allow system administrators to track compliance.
