  Pros

  Tried it on a fairly fast song with brass and it did really well. Some of the timing was off and I think it got a couple of chords wrong, but it did it better and quicker than I could by ear.

  Cons

  Takes a little while to work out how to get it happening, and takes 2-3 times as long as the actual song is to examine it.

  Summary

  I was surprised this actually worked - I'm guessing it does several passes and figures out what key the song is in, and goes from there. I was impressed with what it did.

  Gem software if you need chords. No need to search on inet. You will see chords synchronized to a song.

  If the song is only major and minor chords, it might get most of them right.

  Cons

  Any more complicated chord is incorrectly transposed into a major/minor.

  Summary

  Basically, it doesn't work correctly. It might get the basic key and if the song is a really simple chord progression, it may even get most of it right. But if you need help figuring out the blues, you shouldn't be playing music in the first place. For a good laugh, try a jazz tune.

  Pros

  It was easy to install, but beyond that, it simply did not work.

  Cons

  Menus open and freeze on screen, so you cannot read the screen. If you avoid using the menus, it still does not show any chords for the music.

  Summary

  It froze up my system several times before I finally uninstalled it. Don't waste your time with this software.

  Pros

  I think it's a great idea to try and make a chord program like this.

  Cons

  It was very poorly executed. I actually found it very amusing to confuse the program as much as possible. On certain songs with lots of chord changes and random things thrown in, the chord reader ended up being wrong over half of the time.

  Simple to install. Very clean interface. Easy for the beginner to understand and use. Great way to learn to play songs without having to transcribe the tablature yourself.

  Pros

  I am absolutely impressed by the accuracy of this chord plugin. Just tried "Dido - Hunter.mp3" - it sounds even better with auto-accompaniment :)
