BS1 Enterprise Accounting - Free Edition provides a surprising amount of control over a company's finances and makes the entire process simple. This is a great choice for small businesses.

The program's interface initially turned us off, since it is primarily a small toolbar on the desktop. However, after reading the Help file's tutorial, we soon loved how simple and unobtrusive the program was. This simple toolbar felt like an entire accounting department at our fingertips, from Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, to Inventory, Sales and Purchase Orders. Each separate department popped up as a simple screen with a grid pattern depicting all the important details of product and price. Each followed the same layout, and the windows could be arranged to display either all at once or stacked upon one another. Adding a new product or invoice proved to be just as simple, with a menu that practically walked us through each step. The program also provided a Filter feature for each department, which let us choose specifically what we viewed using specific parameters. Overall, the program gave the capability to manage all aspects of business finances without overwhelming us.

BS1 Enterprise Accounting is a freeware program. It leaves folders behind after uninstall. We highly recommend it.
