  It is a great player with most media formats supported. I have used it for years,it works very well Easy to use with a simple interface that makes it a favorite for PC novices..!

  It will play audio to and has a number of settings features including subtitle support.

  Pros

  Absolutely free, easy to use, has a nice interface. Plays every video format without any problem playing the video with sound. Support for MP4, DVD, AVI, WMV, MKV, MOV, FLV, etc.

  Not at all! the FLV player works fine for me!

  Summary

  I think I'll make this my standard video player now.

• Norton Nightmare!!

  Pros

  If you could get the program to work without the forced garbage it would be great.

  Cons

  Norton went nuts when I installed it. It changes your home page, your search options, and flagged two trojan viruses when I installed it. mysearchdialupdate.exe(Trojan.Gen.SMH) detected by auto protect. It tried to force it twice. It also tried to force itself on Norton's files which it also blocked.

  Summary

  I normally trust Cnet files so I am confused why this is on their site?

  Pros

  I'm not quite accustomed in creating reviews, but this time I can't sit idle=) As a marriage present for my best friend I decided to create a video combining all joint photos, video fragments and my own congratulation presentation at the end. So I focused on copying, adding, inversing video fragments and what I was particularly anxious about was sound representation and "joint" places - places where different video fragments were intersected. I understood quite well that it was a free program, but didn't intend to pay for my experiments=) My hand-made video took me 2 hours and the result was fabulous! I'm not quite experienced in these programs, but I assure that this free program works wonders!

  Cons

  I continue with pros cause in the above table no empty place remained. At the end of my hand-made video I made presentation to congratulate newly-married couple. And as a backstage I wanted to insert a video record of our childhood. At first I thought my idea was not realistic from practical point of view, but to my surprise the program managed! Overall final video was TERRIFIC. I don't know why this free product is not in top of CNET list and I strongly recommend it to everyone.

  Pros

  This product is 100% suitable for professional and private targets. I do like download speed - the video is at your disposal in several moments. I'd like to highlight powerful menu of the product where you can find any option you need. Sometimes I have to make presentations and insert video fragments in them. U understand that the vedeo have to be well-worked to attract attention, and FLV player perfectly meets my requirements - easy to insert/copy/paste (options list is endless) fragments, easy to zoom to required scale. lately I've been looking for a powerful and multi-optional player which can comply with my professional requirements and FLV player is something that always helps. I do recommend.

  Cons

  Maybe menu may seem a bit difficult for those who are not quite strong in videography. My grandparents, for example. But if you spend 10 minutes tete-a-tete with settings u'll understand how simple and well-developed the menu is. It's the question of purpose - when u want your program be versatile and comply with interesting video targets, so be ready to spend a few time)

  I've been using this player for several months now; it was a replacement for another one that had changed for the worse. At first it seemed to be fine; the only problem I had was that there was no "options" or setup feature to allow for things like default window size, smoothing, etc. - things my last player had. But it really wasn't a big deal so I just got used to it. Lately, though, a lot of the videos I've been trying to play are badly out of sync, to the point where I can't watch them. I know practically nothing about videography so I have no idea what's causing this. But I do remember the other player having no trouble with these videos, and when something plays fine with one player and not with another I tend to think it's the player that's the problem. So now I'm looking for another one.

  Pros

  It's FREE and Great I can play my FLV video from Youtube now! I just played my adds DVDs and MOVs from my new iPad. Brilliant work! Highly recommended...
