This simple yet effective utility fixes corrupted video files in AVI, DivX, XviD, RM, RMVB, ASF, WMV, AC3, and WMA formats. The self-explanatory interface lets you easily manage numerous files. To fix a file, all you do is select it and click Repair. The repair process runs quickly and can be stopped at any moment. Unfortunately, the program offers no configuration options. You can't convert among file types, adjust any output parameters, or even choose the directory for or name of repaired files. Nevertheless, this application does its main job well enough that we can reccomend it for simple video repairs.

Doesn't Work for WMA
rranc1stOctober 10, 2012
Pros
None. Worthless waste of time.
Cons
Recovered wma file is only as long as the part that would play in Windows Media Player. The damaged files (before recovery) will play completely in VLC, but the bad spots are silent. This program will not fix the file so it's playable in Windows Media Player.
Summary
Looking for three years, this is the first that worked.

Pros
Able to fix half my corrupt videos. Not sure how to fix the remaining AVIs. If you have a digital camera always move the files through the usb cable not the flash card! That's how mine got messed up.
Cons
Would like to give them some money for helping me out but $30 seeems to be too much.
Summary
Works. Small program.
didn't work

Pros
quick uninstall
Cons
didn't work
Summary
Does exactly what it is advertised to do...

Pros
Very easy to use and install
Cons
None. Some people complain about lack of options, but this is free software. I appreciate the person(s) who took the time to write the code and then make it available for free.
Summary
ASF-AVI-RM-WMV Repair 1.82 is very effective
jenjhizFebruary 7, 2012
Pros
I have tried out this software now on a couple of .avi files. The first file was recovered enough to play and recognise, but was not watchable. The second file was completely recovered. Both times I used the Advanced Mode, so I don't know how effective Fast Mode is.
Cons
No problems
Summary
Sets off my antivirus.

Pros
I will not run
Cons
Sets off my antivirus.
Summary
Antivius says it has ZugoAH in the installer malicious code.
Did enough; needed a conversion program to finish job
georgehowieJune 5, 2011
Pros
Created a full-size temporary avi file which had the corrected codec tags
Cons
The repaired file was only of size 2k. However I used a conversion program on the repair_tmp file; converting it to mp4. The conversion program could not open the original (bad) file.
Summary
I now have a playable video; albeit now in a different format. It took an additional program but who cares? This repair program did the heavy lifting.
didn't seem to fix very much

Pros
I think I managed to fix a couple of avi and wmv videos ...
Cons
... but most of the time it failed. Nice idea, though.
Summary
worth a try, but don't expect too much.
Does not work all the time

Pros
Worked sometimes.
Cons
Did not repair mpg files, wmv in particular. Some were repaired, others it said it repaired were not.
Summary
Not really impressed with product.

Pros
didnt get a chance to find any.
Cons
one big one. I cant even try it out.
Summary
cant say much about it other than if they want people to try it out then they should allow them to.
