Convert, transform, correct, and refine existing subtitles.
Jubler is a tool to edit text-based subtitles. It can be used an an authoring software for new subtitles or as a tool to convert, transform, correct and refine existing subtitles. The most popular subtitle formats can be used. Preview of the subtitles in realtime or in design time, spell checking, translation mode and styles editing are some of the main features. Requirements are: latest version of JRE, MPlayer to view subtitles, ASpell to spell-check the subtitles. It is open source under a liberal (GNU) public licence. It is written in Java 6 in order to be really multi-platform.
It needs somethingr called 'Mplayer' in order to see the video. This is only available as source code - you have to compile the code yourself first in order to link Jubler to it.
Summary
Completely useless trash. I don't know why CNet allow these people to waste everybody's time. Does the Editor not check it first?
Before being uploaded, the authors could have at least compiled the MPlayer viewe, bundled it, and configured the main program to automatically link to it. But no - these idiot nerds are in their own dysfunctional universe.
Try it yourself and get angry.
