Military prowess has always depended on technology, so why not have a little role reversal? This screensaver displays a 3D model of the notorious Tiger Tank, a powerful World War II weapon. The model itself is very realistic, but the screensaver isn't quite as impressive. Dim lighting, unimaginative scenery, and monotonous rotation of the camera all help undermine its intrinsic appeal. The software contains no background soundtrack and offers users no ability to configure features or presentation. A trial version does provide a generous 30-day period to evaluate the program, however. With these caveats, 3D Tiger Tank Screensaver may certainly be interesting to military-history buffs, but it's unlikely to have broad appeal.
