• Solar System Simulator - OK graphics

  Pros

  It allows you to see views of the planets withing the Solar System.

  Cons

  The defaut settings are set with horrible depisctions of the planets in a striped maner leading a person at first to think that the program is a horrible thing from an 8 bot computer but if you go in options you can fix that.

  Summary

  The program is OK if you just want a 3D view of the planets with moons orbiting and spinning around. Other then that it is just an OK program. Other Solar System programs exist here on CNET if you type in "Solar System" into the Search including some Screen Savers. The best stand alone is a program called Celestia I would donload Celestia if I were you and pass on this one. This one is not so good. Celestia is Awesome.

  This program sucks!!!! When I started it. I just got and error message stating "Camera is Null". Then when I tried to close it, the same message appeared. I had to end the task in the Task Maneger. Now, I know why it's free! I uninstalled it, too. That was the only thing that worked. The UNINSTALL feature. You can't even give this one away!

  You would think for the file size, you'd have more options than which planet to view & screen size. Little more than a 3-d movie of the solar system.

  Since I homeschool my daughter, I thought this would be neat. It crashed and crashed. I uninstalled it real fast. It froze my computer and I couldn't even shut down properly. It's very poor.

  Maybe its just on WinMe, everytime i started it just kept loading and never stopped.show just black screen.
