100 different Akari puzzles in different sizes from 8x8 to 12x12. The puzzles may be freely distributed or used for publication. Akari is another Japanese logic puzzle. The aim of Akari is to light up all empty cells by placing light bulbs at empty locations following certain rules. The Puzzles are in Adobe PDF file format and have not to be installed. You can easily print and then work them out with pencil and paper. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
Free. Free is always good for gaming!
The pdfs are nice and clear and easy to print up a page or two or email to a friend.
Cons
I have only looked at a couple pages so far, and unless I'm very much mistaken, the very first puzzle is unsolve-able... the "answer" being incomplete (not filling ALL the open spaces, only adding 'lights' to the numbered boxes)
Not as good on paper.
Summary
If you really must get your akari fix, these are great so far, but if you can find an electronic format to play, you will likely enjoy it more.
