This screensaver for the Christmas holidays has questionable appeal. The installation is speedy, and, on launch, 1 Nutty Santa Screen Saver peers down on a snowy village twinkling in the winter night. Santa Claus rides through the sky and greets you from time to time, sometimes with distinctly un-Santa-like behavior. His hearty laugh doesn't always coincide with his ride through the screen. Rudolph has apparently escaped the jingling reins of the sleigh, as he runs solo across the villagers' lawns on occasion. A shooting star makes a regular appearance as well. You can adjust the frequency of Rudolph's lonely run and the shooting star, toggle Santa's greetings, and choose your background. Unfortunately, you can do nothing to avoid getting spyware in your system stocking from this nutty Santa. However, fans of seasonal weirdness may consider this screensaver worth a download.

Pros
I like the surprises, never know what Santa is going to do next, and it is small enough to be discreet. I was annoyed, after a while, with the Merry Christmas and the bells jingling, but found the controls. Christmas day I will turn the sound back on. Great job!!!

If you watch when you install and uncheck all want to be installs, and only install the santa. It is easy and fun. we laughed when he mooned us.

The software that wants you to install before it. Expectally the last screen. It makes it look like if you don't install that one you can't install the santa, which is false, however some people wouldn't know that.

After declining their other "offers" and installng the screensaver, I noticed that after the ss kicked in and I moved my mouse, there was a pop-up window that asked me to recommend the ss to friends by submitting their emails. I clicked off that window. About 5 minutes later, I got "the blue screen" - saying that Windows has suffered an "unauthorized shut down" and to restart either in Safe Mode or regular. I restarted the 'puter in regular mode, held my breath, and everything seemed to be fine. I deleted the screensaver. That ss was the only change I have made to my 'puter (running Vista) within the past 2 weeks. I don't recommend this.
