"Leopard Friendly , enough said ..."

    May 21, 2008  |   By mentat59

    Version: iPod Access 4.2.1

    Pros

Works surprisingly well ,could be a little more seamless, but what the hey.

I was able to save my iTunes after a mechanical fry up in my hard drive.

This saved me mucho hours on iTunes recovery.... . Also the right price for a registered version.

    Cons

Needs to be more fluid in it's operation, but I believe that's coming ...

    Version: iPod Access 4.2.1

    Pros

This is great and did everything it should! I was worried about harming my computer or the Ipod, but the music got added back on and everything is back to normal. I was so unsure of which software to choose and I am so happy I chose Ipod Access.

    "Music play lists"

    December 17, 2007  |   By AJN103

    Version: iPod Access 4.1.3

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Link back to the ipod. Every time i have tried to rebuild the play list on my Mac you would think, that it would link to the song on the computer. Instead it ends up linking the song in the playlist to the ipod itself and creating a duplicate in the library. All the songs are there why can't it just connect to that file again on the computer instead of the ipod? Thats not the way i want this to work. I just want my play list back without having to dig though every file all over again..

    "Really pleased"

    Version: iPod Access 4.0.6

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Converted to Mac over a year ago and had about 30 "lost" albums on my iPod that I could not get into my new Mac library. Songs transfer FAST and easy (even for the free version). Really excellent user interface. I was SO happy to have found this and recommend it for anyone who can read directions. I always have my iPod on manual updating, so I didn't have any duplication issues; then again, I CAN read directions pretty well! Please, read the directions before use!

    "This Software is Golden!"

    July 13, 2007  |   By bassninja

    Version: iPod Access 4.0.6

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This Software saved my mental frame of mind! My iTunes hard drive died, and my iPod gave me the scare of my life...I had no backup to my iPod while i was trying to get $1000.00 together to do data recovery on my iTunes hardrive, when my iPod wouldn't start. I left it to charge overnight and the next day it still wouldn't start up. I did all the hold this key and that key over and over and nothing...I tried it one last time before I got in bed that night, and it came on...I immediately knew I had better back it up as best I can. I tried another product to back it up but it wouldn't back up my purchased music, and I have about $400.00 in purchased music. I searched and found iPod access and I let it do it's thing overnight, and it copied all the files!! 4,112 songs! Everything! I was actually allowed to recover everything I paid for in the first place! imagine that!! i guess life is kind of fair after all! I recommend this product to everyone. You have to have it. Period. It is a must have, and it works great!!

After a week the people at iPod Access finally answered my email and in a one sentence response blamed the problem on Apple. Don't give these guys your money.

    "BEWARE OF THIS SOFTWARE!!!"

    April 10, 2007  |   By Kevinm78

    Version: iPod Access 4.0.4

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I accidentally erased some podcast files from my iTunes library that were still on my iPod. I looked here for a utility that would allow me to transfer those files back from my iPod into iTunes. I saw the positive reviews here for iPod Access and bought the program. I followed the instructions to turn manual syncing on and then went to recover the files. About 8 out of the 40 files came over - and erased the files I already had in iTunes. I gave up and reset the iPod for automatically syncing with the iPod. When I did, all of my playlists doubled. I tried syncing again and now there were 3 copies of each playlist. After ending up with 4 copies of each I selected the playlists in the iTunes playlist column and deleted all but one. Upon syncing again they were duplicated again!

So I have had to restore my 80GB iPod, replace my iTunes library of 12,500 songs from a backup, recreate all settings, etc. An 8 hour recovery to try to transfer a few files from my iPod. Stay away from this software!
