Designed as a cheaper alternative to Adobe Acrobat, eXPert PDF Editor Professional Edition allows users to edit existing documents and create PDFs from scratch, mixing text, images, links, and bookmarks. However, the moniker Professional Edition seems misleading, as the program doesn't support advanced features such as forms and scripting. Also, the disorganized interface wastes too much space on logos and large buttons. On the plus side, the tabbed display makes it easy to edit several documents at once. However, in the end, eXPert PDF Editor's handful of strong points can't make up for its meager feature set and sloppy controls.
