Publisher's Description
From Dongsoft:
The ePub to PDF converter is quite a utility tool which can not only convert a file from ePub to PDF but also in most cases convert to other formats without much difficult at all. EPub sands for Electronic Publications. It is free and is the open source standard for eBooks, established by the IDPF or the International Digital Publishing Forum. There are several benefits of using ePub. It allows interoperability between various types of software and hardware as far as digital books and publications from various publishers are concerned. The digital books in unencrypted state are designed explicitly for content where the display of the text is customised and optimised depending on the device which the end user is using. In short the text display changes from a laptop to a touch screen smart phone and so on. To enable this, ePub is the standard most publishers stick to. Hence there are a lot of chances that you would need to convert the ePub to PDF format.
What's new in this version: Version 2.0.4 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"simple to use"
Version: ePub to PDF Converter 2.0.4
Pros
It is pretty good at converting EPUB files to PDF. I will be purchasing it just to have the tool. Just to let you know 8.5 x 11 sheets with a .5 inch boarder works out to be roughly 216mm x 279mm with a 13mm boarder.
Cons
You must work in mm. It needs to be able to work in both mm and inches. It took a little bit of mm to inch conversion to get it close in size. The next thing to figure out is the pts size of the text.
Summary
Overall it is a good tool, you just need to know how to work with it a little to get the correct size output you want.

"Don't waste your money!"
Version: ePub to PDF Converter 2.0.4
Pros
None. Most of the time all you will get is frustrated. Something that does not work is not a bargain no matter how inexpensive it is.
Cons
Don't believe anything PDF-to-anything converter vendors say. In general, PDF conversion is iffy to impossible simply because of the nature of PDF files. You can try converting PDFs to RTF on the free Zamzar site and then copy editing the resulting RTF according to the directions you can get anywhere on the web. Once the RTF is cleaned up, you can export it as an EPUB from the Open Source OpenOffice's or the open source Libra Office's Writer word processor with a plug-in available from Open Office. Or you can get the Open Source Calibre (check out its options!) and convert the RTF to EPUB (every reader except a Kindle) and Mobi (Kindle). Or you can convert the PDF directly to an EPUB on Zamar or in Calibre and then copy edit the EPUB with the open source WYSIWYG Sigil EPUB editor. In no case should you pay for any software to do this chore as they are all not efficacious.

"Worked great for me! Easy to use, accurate."
Version: ePub to PDF Converter 2.0.4
Pros
Very simple to use; select the correct options and let it do its stuff
Cons
I would like to be able to convert to full page size (8.5 X 11.5). I think it would also be helpful if there were a preview option before the file conversion begins so that one would be able to make any adjustments to the options if necessary.
Summary
I found the software on Cnet.com EPub to PDF Converter offered a free trial with 15 uses so I thought I would take them up on it.
My situation is that I do not have a reader like Kindle or iPad, instead I have a Bible software program on my computer that allows me to make notes, highlight and create hyper-links to other resources. I like it very much and like to keep most all of the books I read in that software program so, when I purchase a book from another source and want to incorporate it into the program I use I have to convert it into a word document, EPub to PDF Converter allows me to do just that.
EPub to PDF Converter is very simple to use, I just selected the file I wanted to convert then, very carefully selected the correct size (this is very important for if you want your converted file to look like the original file), chose the font and margin size, new file location and the EPub to PDF Converter did the rest. Anyone with basic computing skills will be able to successfully convert an entire book in just a few minutes (the book I converted was 250 pgs.).
When using software like this it is very important to double check the options that you select for the software; in this case the screen size for the reader you will be using-it makes all the difference.
I invite you to check it out at http://www.pdf-epub-converter.com I think you will be more than satisfied.
Thank you for your time, Doug
