• If a Little is Good, then More is Better.

  Pros

  I use Chrome exclusively and this is an extension. You use it with Incognito browsing turned on and once you log in it gives you a password and assigns you to a different country. I don't know enough about this kind of thing to know if I'm being take for a ride or not. It sure sounds good.

  Cons

  Well, I did what I wanted and I felt protected. What can I say?

  Summary

  I am too ignorant to tell you if this is an effective extension or not. Others say it is. I can't figure out why I had to add a VPN on to Chrome's "Incognito" browser to start with if everything is so great. Oh well, I guess it's one of those, "if a little is good, then more is better" scenarios.

  For Chromium based browsers, I have not found better. It does exactly what is needed for my uses. Try it!<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Feb 2, 2015<p/>After using this for some time now I have found that certain websites don't work properly. This is to be expected with any VPN. Unfortunately it has problems with websites I need a VPN the most. Such places are online payments and shopping. Most of those places are HTTPS however and have some privacy built in so to speak. I still think for free It's for me. The best yet!

  Pros

  Using ZenMate, I hardly notice any reduction in browser speed or usability. It's so simple, anyone can use it and it allows you to change country and IP in a single click. Rather than just being an unblocker, it also provides VPN encryption for security and privacy which is a must for me as I travel a lot and often have to use unsecured WiFi. It also allows me to watch all my favourite shows while I'm abroad through it's unblocking capabilities. One of my must install applications on getting a new computer!

  Cons

  To be completely secured, they recommend installing FlashControl as well which can be found in the Chrome store.

  Summary

  A brilliant FREE security and privacy application that everyone should have to protect themselves and unblock geo restricted websites.

  Pros

  Works well with other Chrome add-ons: ABP, Disconnect, etc. Does not seem to conflict with any browser functions. I'm using ZM with Comodo Dragon for added privacy and security.

  Cons

  Likes to run as a Chrome background app, even when Choome is not launched. Suggest un-checking "Continue running background apps when (Chrome/or) Comodo Dragon is closed". If you're not using Chrome all of the time.

  Summary

  Nice security layer and it's Free.
