    "Usefull, easy program!"

    February 13, 2014   |   By Andrea_S86

    Version: Xeoma Video Surveillance 13.8.12

    Pros

    It is very simple.
The main pro is its interface, which is very easy to use.
Navigation is simple and works with all types of cameras.
    Xeoma looks nice for me.

    Cons

    For me none!

    Summary

For me program shouldn't be complicated, so I enjoy using Xeoma!)))

"I like it, no major issues or irritations"

    January 18, 2014   |   By Kervork

    Version: Xeoma Video Surveillance 13.8.12

    Pros

I run this under linux, it's one of the few programs I could find for linux. I have about 20 cameras running of various kinds. It is easy to use, the playback features are excellent and intuitive. Installation is easy. Motion detection works well. Price is good.

    Cons

Display has locked up before and stops updating. Video was still being recorded, needed to close and open client to fix.

Can't arrange cameras after they are set up.

Can't figure out how to keep it from scanning for cameras when it starts up. I don't use the feature and it's annoying.

    Summary

I have it in two locations, soon possibly in a 3rd. I like it much better han Luxriot, Blue Iris, Zoneminder and others I have used. I give it 4 stars for not being perfect.

    "nice and affordable!"

    January 13, 2014   |   By Danny_Nolland

    Version: Xeoma Video Surveillance 13.8.12

    Pros

It is very simple and logical yet very powerful and capable to work with a great number of cameras.
As a main pro I would define a great user interface which is especiaaly good for tablets. With all the other programs I have tried I had the same problem with understanding the interface and navigation through the program settings. Here with Xeoma it is quite simple.

    Cons

The program is still not perfect. The motion detection works weird at times...and not all the cameras are being autodetected at a very start. But I wouldn't say these are critical points.

    Summary

I really enjoy using this software, but, we should always aim for perfection, right? ;) So I rate it 4,5 stars!

    November 27, 2013   |   By Birnger

    Version: Xeoma Video Surveillance 13.8.12

    Pros

Intuitive interface, support Linux (very important for me), works without installation and admin rights, has powerful trial - easy to try needed functionality. Good choice for MJPEG IP-cameras.

    Cons

    None. Good software.

    Summary

    Small, but powerful!

    "Fails even on basic cameras"

    October 01, 2013   |   By fschlater

    Version: Xeoma Video Surveillance 13.8.12

    Pros

    Was looking promising

    Cons

    Waste of time

    Summary

On startup, the software reported 4 cameras by itself (out of 6) but none of them displayed anything. The manual configuration was also a no go for the 2 onvif cameras and the 2 h264 cameras.

The only one that worked was my old panasonic camera but it was not for long. The image was low quality and the refresh rate choppy. Finally the software crashed a few minutes later.

The software constantly crashes even with this single camera.

I didn't find any logs anywhere to and some very basic settings which would make the setup easy are missing.

Even the free alternatives I have been using so far gave much better results than this.
