Publisher's Description
From Architag International:
XRay is real-time, validating XML editor. As you type, parsing errors are listed so you always know if the document is correct. There is no need to 'parse' your file, as it is parsed constantly as you create it. If you are new to XML or you are using another editor that requires 'parsing' or 'validating' as a separate step, you owe it to yourself to check out XRay. XRay has built-in support for W3C Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation. XRay provides real-time transformation of XML structures, including HTML using XSLT. There is also a built-in HTML viewer for quick development of XML-based Web pages.

"Very basic editor with no ability to trace XSD definitions across files."
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
-
"EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!"
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
Pros
Precisely what I was in need of; a "simple" program ... for a simple minded person ... to edit a XML file in need of corrections. This one did PRECISELY that ... and with absolutely no confusion. Merely opened the file; deleted what I wanted to ... and saved as XML.
OUTSTANDING! None of that 'geek' garbage that others tout about in their descriptive terms.
Cons
Alters the extension of the saved file to XRAY ... rather than XML ... but it works ... so who cares!!!!! My program using the XML document works as before.

"Useless"
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
Pros
Can't think of any.
Cons
No real functionality. Crashes when you select "View, Indent Document". And there's no icon to uninstall neither is it in "Add-Remove Programs". But there is an "unwise.exe" file in the installation directory. You'll want to use it.

"It Works, its Basic, and you dont have to read instructions to learn it."
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
Pros
Its a great basic editor to edit existing XML files, just replace text. And the end result is a good XML. Doesnt crash, and its Free. Thats all I was looking for.
Cons
No real cons, just it has few features, but I suppose thats why i figured it out so fast, which is what I needed.

"Great Parser"
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
Pros
I use Xray for parsing XML and indenting. I also like the color-coding and code indenting features. My rating is based mainly on how it works for what I use it for.
Cons
Couldn't get the transform function to work. Indent feature removes the doctype tag, so I use copy/paste to bring it back.
-
"Just a text editor."
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
Summary
Although the description said something about "tree view" editing, I couldn't find it. You need to know exactly how to write XML to be able to use this editor.
-
"Fast Text-Based Editing"
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
Summary
No GUI, just a text editor with minimal color-coding and no special editing features. Maybe good for finding errors in an XML document -- but error messages don't display properly. Fast and simple, but not much functionality.
As indicated by the version number (0.9) this is not a finished product; I was able to use it, but it crashed every time.
I'm looking forward to trying a future release. -
"User friendly, efficient, stable, free"
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11

"can' run"
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
Summary
message box with "Run-Time Error 429: ActiveX component can't create object"

"Great XSLT Processor"
Version: XRay XML Editor 0.9 build 11
Summary
XRay has a built-in XSLT processor that it linked into the main XML editor. As you type in any window, all windows that are linked are updated. It makes it easy to create XSLT, and pretty fun, too.
The product is a little rough around the edges, but is really stable for most uses. Highly recommended for creating and editing small or large XML files.
