This application lets you know the time in countries and cities around the world, though you can only view nine locations at a time. World Time Explorer's main window is accessed through the program's system tray icon and displays the time in nine cities simultaneously. You can't add additional cities; instead, you'll have to swap one of the selections with the city or country of your choice. Notable features include a world map that can display the longitude and latitude of a city and its total population, and a time calculator that will compute the difference between the current time and date and one of many worldwide locations. The program offers a few settings to customize the display's background color and font. This freeware program can be used by anyone interested in knowing what time it is in locations around the world.Publisher's description
From Jesper Norgaard Welen :World Time Explorer is a PC program to view current time for any place in the world, either from a list of more than 4882 cities, or from a world map that shows each GMT offset with a different color. Put family and friends in main window. Calculate time in hundreds of other places based on current time or a given time. In a zoomable world map, put mouse over any city to show current time, lat/lon, sunrise/sunset, distance (km) from another city.
Version 2 adds historic info and colored time zone map.
