It can be run from a floppy disk or USB stick. The program reports on virtually every aspect of computer inventory and configuration. Results are displayed in web-page format, categorised for ease of viewing and text searching. Whether your interest is in software compliance, hardware inventory, technical support, security or just plain curiosity, WinAudit has it all. The program has advanced features such as service tag detection, hard-drive failure diagnosis, network port to process mapping, network connection speed, system availability statistics as well as Windows update and firewall settings. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: WinAudit 2.27
"In-depth system info with an easy to use user interface"
Pros: Fast, light-weight, easy to use, comprehensive system info, reports in various file formats, runs from anywhere, no installation or unstallation.
Cons: "Find files" searches only the local drives. You'll find other cons when you begin using it to assist you in problem solving.

Version: WinAudit 2.27
"Comprehensive info, easy-to-use."
Pros: So easy to run, yet so customizable. Incredibly comprehensive report of both hardware and software components. Great to document a laptop in the event of its loss. Reports produced in text, pdf, even worksheet format.
Cons: Can't think of ANY.
