CNET Editors' review
Vista Manager opens a nicely designed interface that's easy to navigate and tasteful. The tools in this package are comprehensive, with a set of utilities organized under each category: system info, optimizer, cleaner, customization, security, network, and miscellaneous doodads.
Vista Manager performed well in our tests. It quickly grabbed system info about hardware and software components, and we especially liked that it listed each installed video and audio codec. We were able to export the log easily to an HTML file. The Process Manager displayed far greater detail than its Windows counterpart, with a more useful presentation in a directory tree that provided filename, path, manufacturer, user, PID, and digital signature. We also liked that we could set a process' priority for running and watch CPU usage in real time.
This package of goodies offers a robust feature set that should please any level of user. The trial period is brief, but adequate.

"Broken and absolutely disfunctional."
Version: Vista Manager 4.0.1
Pros
Absolutely None, Totally Amateur
Cons
Broken English help files. Every update starts a new trial leaving you trying to get a new key, which will take up to a week. The registry cleaner can kill your PC and you will not even know it until you reboot. I paid for it. Learn from me.
Summary
Don't buy and don't even try!

"Works great and upgrades are free!!"
Version: Vista Manager 3.0.7

"I love this application !!!!!!!"
Version: Vista Manager 3.0.2
Pros
It works like nothing else I've tried.
Cons
There are no cons except that it took me 3 months to find it.
Summary
I was having many problems with Vista Ultimate 64 on a 6 month old high end build. Windows Media Player, Media Center, Winamp and several other applications kept freezing. Windows Media Player stopped running all together and would not open at all. Microsoft had no fix for the problem. There were no hardware or software error messages. All scans and diagnostics came back clean. All Microsoft updates were installed.......also without positive results. I went to many forums and tried all of the suggestions short of formatting the HDD and doing a clean install. I found this application and figured why not try it since my next step was to start from scratch (plus it had a free trial). It took about 10 minutes to download, install run and reboot ( I ran the repair system utility). EVERYTHING WORKS AGAIN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING IT

"The product works well and is easy to understand."
Version: Vista Manager 2.0.2
Pros
If you hover your cursor over any of the many many options a popup tells you exactly what the option does and how it will impact your system. This prevents you from having to spend valuable time searching a help file. It's great.
Cons
It's a little annoying to have to send off for a new license every time there is an update. On the other hand the company always responds quickly with your new license so it's not to bad.
Summary
My guess is that most of the tweaks this software does for you could be done without it. The problem is without the software you wouldn't know those tweaks exist and/or you couldn't find them if you did.
I can't say enough about the popups. It's very easy to know which options you want to turn on or off when the software tells you exactly what each feature will do. If you want to spend your time hunting down instructions don't get this program. If you need clear and meaningful guidance that is automatic yet unobtrusive this is the vista optimizer for you.
I am a big fan of this program and the support the company offers.
