  This was recommended after running PC Security Test 2007, which I think is scareware!

  would not recommend this software, because of the recommendation of PC Security Test, and possibly coming from the same company. wouldn't trust this software at all.

  Pros

  POssably rouge i scanned with malwarebytes before installing found nohtin after i fish a scan with Virus keeper 2009 it says im infected so i remove it then malwarebytes scans again And finds 23 backdoor torjans 3 trojan fake alerts

  All infections came from the program Virus keeper This program is possably a rouge i dont know for sure

  Works well with other programmes although this VC is no 'added' protection, more like a 'team' protection, don't think I would use this as my only protection, all round though, good.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jun 1, 2010<p/>Having re-reviewed viruskeeper pro with intensive security checks, I now say that this product will be my one and only protection needed. I ran comparative tests on other antivirus,spy,malware etc programmes with miserable results, but viruskeeper came back with 100% protection. So, until someone can prove to me otherwise, THIS is the number one value for money....

  Takes up small amout of memory, auto updates, includes several tool's, &#38; will Operate with Zone Alarm.

  Cons

  Tricky! Select English, 8.0, got French! Don't like the splash screen at all. Uncessary! User's simply need to know it's at work for you.

  Summary

  I think, I will like it, due to, it's real time protection, offer's several tool's, and the low memory requirement, is a plus. 8.0 seemed to work well, with Zone Alarm. I don't know yet if 9.0 will.

  Nothing. No answers from support, no support forum on VK website.

  Cons

  Just use antivirus and firewall, you don´t need VK. And if you want really good behavior blocker, you should install for example Mamutu or Threatfire.

  Although I haven't tried this virus protector, I give it three stars for the one time price. Other virus programs ask for yearly amounts which I would not consider. As for my not using this one, with all the free virus protectors out there doing an adequate job by themselves and several of them together (with different protection) giving good protection (for the price) I feel an over kill would be mote (thus saving some cash).. Perhaps someone else could give this the review it deserves.
